My Soap Facts

In class we have been learning why we have soap and we have been learning facts about soap and here is what me and my partner did in class this is information we got from a book and we got no information of the internet. hope you guys enjoy and hope you learnt something new.

A bit of soap is full of little chain-like structures.

Each chain has a water-loving end and a grease-loving.

When we put a dirty plate or any other greasy object into soapy water, the grease-loving ends of the chains in the soap stick to each greasy speck.

When the dirty object is shaken about in the water the greasy specks come away from it.

It would be very hard for us to get clean if we didn’t have soap.

After you add the soap or detergent, the mixture will be quite different.

Put a little oil and water into a screw top jar and shake it hard.

Then stop shaking it and watch it through the glass.

When you stop shaking, you will see the bubbles changing  into streaks.

First you will see the oil break into tiny bubbles.

Then the streaks of oil join together to form a layer on top of the
The molecules of soap keep the bubbles of oil apart,

And old saying is oil and water don’t mix.
